Things to do and see in North Northumberland!
Here in Beadnell you are centrally located to some of the most spectacular places of interest. Just a few minutes walk from Haven House you can access the beach, great for rock pooling, or take a stroll down to Beadnell Bay featuring the harbour with Lime Kilns and offering miles of pure sandy beach for sunbathing or walking and the sea great for swimming, surfing or the latest craze Kite Surfing.

Farne Islands (2 miles)
Two miles North takes you into Seahouses where you can take a boat trip across to the Farne Islands and get close up with the Puffins, during the winter months the Seals.
Bamburgh Castle (5 miles)
Probably the most photographed, filmed, national press Castle featured and set in the most enviable position offering panoarmic views whether walking along the beach, driving through the village or taking a round of golf.
Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle (15 miles)
Sit just half an hour drive away heading North, a visit to be made if you haven't been before.
Take the coast road South and just a five minute drive or a lovely walk along the beach you will reach Newton-by-the-Sea (5 miles)with Newton Hall (popular Wedding Venue), Joiners Arms for a lunch or evening meal stop and drop down to Low Newton where your breath will be taken away by the beautiful beach and popular televised pub The Ship featuring it's own micro brewery. In the distance Embleton Bay and the small fishing village of Craster, here you can walk to Dunstanburgh Castle (ruin), visit The Jolly Fisherman pub. Shoreline Cafe and a quaint Gallery.
Alnwick Castle & Gardens (12 miles)
Visit the Alnwick Castle and see where Harry Potter was filmed and the beautiful Alnwick Gardens with it's poison garden, waterfall, gift shop and cafe.
Cragside (13 miles)
National Trust House, Gardens & Woodland
Activities throughout the year, a full day of adventure, spot red squirrels, roe deer and birds. Childrens Play Area, Seasonal fruit growing in the Orchard House, 7000 multi-coloured tulips and roses.
If you are a keen golfer or just in it for the exercise and fesh air you will be delighted to play any of the courses around here Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course a keen favourite in Embleton boasting some fantastic sea views as does Bamburgh and Seahouses
